The Rotary Club of Hamburg presented college scholarships to three high school students in Hamburg Village Memorial Park with the clock donated by the club as both a picturesque backdrop and to allow appropriate social distancing due to the pandemic. Scholarships were presented to Riley McGloin, of Frontier High School; Sienna Becker, of Hamburg High School; and Benjamin Egloff, of St. Francis High School.

Besides funding college scholarships, the Hamburg club, founded in 1942, coordinates the Warm the Children Program and is one of the four Hamburg service organizations that present the BurgerFest each July (this year, the event scheduled for July 18 was canceled due to concerns surrounding Covid-19). Rotary has met at 6 p.m. on Tuesdays at local restaurants until recently, but is currently meeting outdoors and by Zoom while searching for a new home that allows social distancing together while enjoying a meal and conducting business.
