The Rotary Club of Hamburg hosted a guest speaker at its March 4 meeting from the National Alliance on Mental Illness, NAMI. Ashley Franz, community relations and outreach manager for NAMI of Buffalo and Western New York presented information on the organization and answered questions. NAMI is the nation’s largest grassroots mental health organization providing advocacy, education, support and public awareness to assist individuals and families affected by mental illness. The agency offers family support groups, advocacy and training in Erie, Niagara, Orleans, Wyoming, Cattaraugus and Chautauqua counties. The Buffalo and WNY branch is located at 217 E.
